چکیده

• A new energy harvester using vibro-impact nonlinear sink is proposed. Vibro-impact induced targeted transfer improves significantly the efficiency. The optimal harvesting efficiency resides in regimes with 1–2 impacts per cycle. VINES provides high density and robust over a certain level of noise. potential (VINES) investigated. Applying Signorini’s contact law, non-smooth dynamics first formulated measure differential complementarity problem treated Moreau-Jean scheme adapted an energy-conserving integration method. resulting thus shows good preservation property, allowing one to calculate flow system precision. Exhaustive discussions are then carried out regarding performance proposed harvester, as well their dependence on underlying response regimes, under both transient steady-state responses. It demonstrated that responsible for achieving or controlling response, improve Moreover, properly designed VINES, working cycle, capable effective broadband wide amplitude frequency range. Two specific considerations also performed evaluate further generality efficacy it proved can provide higher than classical linear cubic NES harvesters, its effectiveness could be low

Nonlinear energy harvesting through a multimodal electro-mechanical system

A semi-analytical method is used to illustrate the behavior of a multimodal nonlinear electromechanical system which is under base-excitation. System is considered as piezo-ceramic patches attached to a cantilever beam coupled to a resistive load. The cantilever beam is modeled as a nonlinear Timoshenko beam using Assumed Mode method and equations of motion are derived through Lagrange's equati...

Nonlinear Energy Harvesting

The concept of harvesting electrical energy from ambient vibration sources has been a popular topic of research in recent years. The motivation behind this research is largely due to recent advancements in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology specifically the construction of small low powered sensors which are capable of being placed in inaccessible or hostile environments. The main...

Nonlinear energy harvesting.

Ambient energy harvesting has been in recent years the recurring object of a number of research efforts aimed at providing an autonomous solution to the powering of small-scale electronic mobile devices. Among the different solutions, vibration energy harvesting has played a major role due to the almost universal presence of mechanical vibrations. Here we propose a new method based on the explo...

A periodic folded piezoelectric beam for efficient vibration energy harvesting

Periodic piezoelectric beams have been used for broadband vibration energy harvesting in recent years. In this paper, a periodic folded piezoelectric beam (PFPB) is introduced. The PFPB has special features that distinguish it from other periodic piezoelectric beams. The Adomian decomposition method (ADM) is used to calculate the first two band gaps andtwelve natural frequencies of the PF...
